The Debut Album — Out Now
The Light
Skin Francis
Twelve songs, one pair of hands. Los Angeles producer and songwriter Francis wrote it, recorded it, engineered it, and performed it himself — a debut album built the slow way, from the ground up.
One artist. Every credit.
The story of the record, and all twelve songs in order.
Most debut albums are a team effort. This one is a signature. Francis produced, wrote, recorded, engineered, and performed every song on The Light Skin Francis.
“Written, recorded, engineered and performed by The Light Skin Francis.”

Producer first.
Artist always.
Francis — The Light Skin Francis — is a producer and songwriter from Los Angeles, California. He started out behind the boards in 2020, an independent producer connecting with artists and other producers all over the world through social media, building a name one session at a time.
The records followed: the self-titled Fawsm mixtape in late 2021, then In the Colors and Shanaynay: The Album — each one a step toward the fully self-made debut he released in October 2026. Along the way he's kept producing and mixing for other artists, and become a fixture on LMU stages, performing with a full live band.
The through line is craft. Whether it's a beat for someone else or the closing song on his own album, Francis treats every record like it has to earn its place — because for an independent artist doing everything himself, it does.
